National Nutrition survey in Britain

The results can be found here

41% of the over sixty-five population who are in institutions, care homes, hospitals and the like are deficient in Vit D

There are vitamin deficiencies in Britain and that survey is almost 10 years old

If you spend most of your time in a car or a house or an office you will not have an optimum level of Vitamin D in your blood. There is a blood test for this.

  1. There are two distinct sources of vitamin D; One is sunlight; Vitamin D is manufactured by the body when it receives UV light. The second is from food, the richest sources of which are predominently oily fish

  2. I get far too much of it here in Spain :) It´s been 40 degrees for the past 3 months. Lovely though!

I have to go native and stay in the shade as much as possible, some of the women here have skin like old leather.

I used to get really depressed in Britain if we had a bad summer.
