Famous Quote no 12

“Thought, like all potent weapons, is exceedingly dangerous if mishandled. Clear thinking is therefore desirable not only in order to develop the full potentialities of the mind, but also to avoid disaster.”
-Giles St. Aubyn

Now is the Winter of our Discontent

One of the papers ran Winter of Discontent for Europe because of all the strikes. It seems snow and strikes go together like peaches and cream

Anyway  here is the full quote:

Now is the winter of our discontent
Made glorious summer by this sun of York;
And all the clouds that lour'd upon our house
In the deep bosom of the ocean buried.
Now are our brows bound with victorious wreaths;
Our bruised arms hung up for monuments;
Our stern alarums chang'd to merry meetings,
Our dreadful marches to delightful measures.
Grim-visag'd war hath smooth'd his wrinkled front;
And now,--instead of mounting barbed steeds
To fright the souls of fearful adversaries,--
He capers nimbly in a lady's chamber
To the lascivious pleasing of a lute.
But I,--that am not shap'd for sportive tricks,
Nor made to court an amorous looking-glass;
I, that am rudely stamp'd, and want love's majesty
To strut before a wanton ambling nymph;
I, that am curtail'd of this fair proportion,
Cheated of feature by dissembling nature,
Deform'd, unfinish'd, sent before my time
Into this breathing world scarce half made up,
And that so lamely and unfashionable
That dogs bark at me as I halt by them;--
Why, I, in this weak piping time of peace,
Have no delight to pass away the time,
Unless to spy my shadow in the sun,
And descant on mine own deformity:
And therefore,--since I cannot prove a lover,
To entertain these fair well-spoken days,--
I am determined to prove a villain,
And hate the idle pleasures of these days.
Plots have I laid, inductions dangerous,
By drunken prophecies, libels, and dreams,
To set my brother Clarence and the king
In deadly hate the one against the other:
And if King Edward be as true and just
As I am subtle, false, and treacherous,
This day should Clarence closely be mew'd up,--
About a prophecy which says that G
Of Edward's heirs the murderer shall be.
Dive, thoughts, down to my soul:--here Clarence comes.

[Enter CLARENCE, guarded, and BRAKENBURY.]
Brother, good day: what means this armed guard
That waits upon your grace?

The Economy has been kidnapped

I found this on someones photo gallery  It summed up my mood

Why Al Megrahi is still alive

There are cures for cancer, the government and big pharma will not let you have them I know them, and I would share them with anyone who asked me, These are age old cures that work, not some expensive patented drug from the pharmaceutical companies One is above us in the sky all the time, The Sun prevents cancer as does cholesterol in your skin and exposure to the sun, Its UVA that causes cancer, but all sunscreens only block UVB they have partial UVA only Thats why skin cancer rates are rising.... by the way I could wax lyrical on this Its out there if you want to find it. He has survived because he is now getting sun exposure No one with dark skin in Scotland can make Vitamin D which prevents cancer.

Famous Quote no 11

"There is no nonsense so errant that it cannot be made the creed of the vast majority by adequate governmental action"

David Cameron: Boiled Buttered New Potato

He's no better than Gordon, He might not have a temper but you can be sure that silent and deadly is even worse because at least with Gordon its written over his face.

A Future of Fair Bin Collections

From the Daily Wail

Councils have been told to cut bin collections to just once-a-fortnight across the country in order to slash costs, it was revealed last night.
The Audit Commission has written to councils suggesting the move as a way to fit their spending within the limits of reduced government budgets.
It has warned councils that they could receive poor inspection reports if they do not consider switching to fortnightly schemes.

The fucking bloody bastards are at it again.

The future farce for all and the fat fucking liar have fucked us up again

Cutting Public Spending

How best to deal with the situation

How many economists does it take to miss the elephant in the room?

Sixty who back Labour

The biggest spending cut that would not affect how we live in the UK would be to cut all funding to the EU

To leave the EU would immediately make the public finances better. They are currently haemorrhaging funds from the public purse straight to Brussels.

The economists have blinkers on.

Henry is back

First of all , let me apologise to those of you who were gagging to read my blog whilst Ive been in self imposed exile. Those in the GMC and CHRE can go kiss my ass, I couldn't give a brass farthing ( though I am reliably told that they are now worth £37 on the market)

Many things have happened, some of which my friends and some others are aware of and as a result of which blogging took a backseat so I shut the blog down for the time being.

It turned out to be almost 6 months which is normally the kiss of death for blogs so we'll see what happens to the reading figures.

Anyway I shall be here from time to time, blogging may reach the height of crescendo with a couple of blog posts a day but dont hold your breath It takes a bit of time to crack those knuckles and get back to fast typing when you havent been doing it regularly.
