Goring by Sea

I went off to the south coast today to have a look at the timber.

There were still quite a few piles of timber on Goring beach and Goring is a lovely quaint town that harks back to the 30s Lots of Arts and crafts mock tudor houses and many art deco blocks of flats and shopping arcades.

In fact it had more art deco than Napier commonly heralded as the Art Deco capital of the Southern hemisphere in that a vast majority of the housing stock was from the 30s.

  1. Yeah, but did you get any free planks or has it all gone?

  2. Some of it is still there but you aren't allowed to take it. Pity I could have done with some for some raised beds but never mind....
