Norwich North By-Election - Calling The People Of Norwich

Today is the day the Teddy Bears get shafted. That is the hope of millions of people around this country and it falls to the people of Norwich to deliver. No pressure.

So, if you are a person in Norwich and are reading this during your break, please do the right thing and vote Libertarian. Here is a list of the candidates and as you can see, they are all useless bar one. Thomas Burridge.

Many people like a protest vote, even more so in the current climate. But please, please don't go and waste it on some reactionary extremist from the BNP, or some made up loony party. Let alone UKIP who may, possibly, share your views on Europe, but their domestic politics are a shambles.

Remind yourself of the expenses debacle. Labour, Conservative, Liberal Democrat - they were all up to their necks in it. Don't give them the satisfaction of your vote.

Labour have destroyed this country.

The Tories are a shoe-in for the next election, but not winning this seat would give them the kick in the arse needed to attack to win it rather than sit back and let Brown lose it.

The Lib Dems are pointless. They won't win the election, they don't offer anything in Parliament. And remember this: if the election returns a hung Parliament they will have the casting vote, giving them another MP will probably give Labour one more as well when they side with them.

So that leaves the Libertarian Party. Here is the LPUK website and here is the manifesto. As you will see the party has a fundamental belief in your freedom of choice and the reduction of government powers to reduce that freedom.

Libertarianism is a wide ranging philosophy that encompasses wide ranging views from Left to Right. Your voice can be heard.

A vote for the Libertarian candidate is a kick in the teeth of the major parties and the rejection of the traditional protest parties. They have done nothing for anyone or anything. They represent the extremes of the traditional party system. The Libertarians do not, they represent a new approach that puts you first, a political party that challenges the political system itself.

Thomas Burridge is the second name on the ballot, send the right message to Westminster and the media of where you want this country to go.

The Law is an Ass Officially

I refer of course to this particular story in the Times.

The man had it in storage, it wasnt being used and from what we can gather it was locked away. Yet the judge sent him in for five years. He legally owned it in the US

Criminals, lets face it the lorry driver who killed six people on the M6 got just three years. This man has done nothing apart from owning a gun, and one that wasnt even with him It was in storage.

Under a Libertarian government he would be released and given back his gun.

It seems the government is taking us all to task, and drowning us in information and cutting off the air supply in order to suffocate us in the bid to slip the important way of life changing "directives" past our noses so that we can't react to them.

We have the Coroners and Justice Bill with clause 152 being a big thorn in Data Protection

We have today's Pravda (BBC) announcement of taking away passports for not keeping up your child maintenance They state that this has worked in Australia (a neo fascist state and a test bed for the world)

The government says the new plan will be tested in certain areas of the country.
Similar schemes in the US and Australia have been successful in increasing payments.

Other powers open to the CMEC include taking money from a bank account without going through the courts; applying for a curfew, or recovering money from a dead person's estate.
Opponents are worried that civil liberties may be undermined if bureaucrats have the power to take away passports and driving licences.
The Liberal Democrats have also criticised the plans.

and they are going to pursue you beyond the grave.

The NHS wont serve you meat in hospital anymore ( best source of protein) because they are more concerned about global warming as Old Holborn writes, personally I think its more to do with cost cutting . Cheapskates!

Terror detention announcement expected

Jacqui Smith our new Home secretary is about to announce that the terror detention laws are about to be renewed and that the period of detention without trial is going to be 42 days. That's six weeks to you and me.

Personally and politically I find this to be abhorrent and unnecessary.

You don't need six weeks unless you are an incompetent bureacracy laden, lawbreaking Government who cant even register proper donations to your own political party properly.

This is playing on what fear? For Christ's bloody sake even the IRA and internment didn't work in Northern Ireland. Has everyone forgotten so quickly. History will say that you have repeated the same mistakes and caused untold damage to intercultural relations. This is a massive blow for civil liberties.


PS I know I wasn't going to post but this little snippet of fuckwittery by the government came out at 2am this morning.

Gordon Brown and the Incompetents

Sounds like a pop group, or a band of musicians who can't play very well.

In fact its our government, and the standard of people they employ and the uselessness of our education system.

Two computer discs were posted in the regular mail with no record of posting, no nothing and they went missing. Thing is they contained highly confidential details of all the bank accounts of those who receive child benefit. Now who is to blame?

The person who posted it who has probably done it in a rush. No aforethought of how sensitive the material and not intelligent or educated enough to think , "oh this stuff is important it shouldn't get lost", and without the presence of mind to think I better send this a better way such as recorded delivery or some other such stuff.

Of course someone has got them and thinks they are shiny or worth something or they've been put somewhere and been stolen or taken to be hacked into.

Its not confined to this area of government either and that is what is so wrong with our society and our education.

They don't give a monkeys after they've seen it and sorted your benefit.

No covering letter, no nothing, and it is a miracle that your identity and your stuff doesn't get pilfered by someone.

I've had it happen to me and I was upset and my father pointed out to me that he was upset about how they had sent my stuff back.

Why is the question we should be asking? Why when the government is so fucking concerned about terrorism is it so lax in protecting its own citizens?

I wouldn't trust the government to organise a vertical urination in a brewery ( that's a piss up to you and I).

They have dumbed down the education system through successive governments and created an underclass who can't think through things properly and who are terrible at managing things and then they put up posters for the likes of you and I who are educated and say no abuse or we'll prosecute you.

Well I say you bastards, you fucking bastards why the fuck can't you deal with us properly and why the fuck aren't the standards higher, then you wouldn't even risk the possibility of abuse you ignorant bastards.

Our education system is in meltdown and our infrastructure rapidly crumbling and our governmental offices filled with the lowest ignorant people because they wouldn't get a job anywhere else.

I remember vividly asking my dyslexic rather slow witted and ignorant relative where he worked and he told me that he was working in Lambeth for the civil service, and I thought.. uh oh this isn't right what the fuck is he doing there. Would I trust him to take care of my pension? The answer is no.

The government wants slaves and people who take orders but what it fails to realise is that in order for that system to work you have to have constant supervision by someone who knows what needs to be done and how it should be done, you don't leave them to make their own decisions or there will be chaos.

The government have hidden this from us for 18 months.. they say they were posted 18 months ago.

If it were not so outrageous it would be cause for a general election. How dare they play with us and half the population is affected, and will be affected for years

I'm surprised there aren't demonstrations going on but of course these days you just can't go out and demonstrate you have to tell the police in advance which makes it impossible to just protest when you feel like it and this in what we call a free western democracy.

India has a better democracy because at least there any kind of protest is valid and no one dare break it up for the fear of rioting.

Of course this is just another feature of a dumbed down populace, the inability to even go out there and protest for our rights. Apathy rules ok and the sheeple just baa and get on with eating.
It makes me sick and it is a terrible day.

Over the channel the French strike and protest because their education is better than ours, and this is shown by how many expatriates from Britain live there and get their children into those schools.

It is a sad day because we have been cheated and lied to for years and given bad service and what do we do when we vote? we don't even fucking bother to change the sodding people who cheat us.

This is exactly what Australia has on double jeopardy weekends leading to two offences meaning that you can lose your licence for two offences.

This is a serious slap in the face for civil liberties and a tightening vice grip of laws.

Imagine the knock on effect if people cant move freely with their cars. Yes they'll be moved on to public transport. You guessed it its a subtle plan to stop us using our cars through fear of losing our licences.

Prime Minister Tony Blair plans to push through a new anti-terrorism law before he steps down next month giving "war-time" powers to police to stop and question people, a newspaper reported on Sunday. Blair, who is due to resign on June 27 after a decade in office, wrote in an article in The Sunday Times that his government planned to publish new anti-terrorism proposals "within the next few weeks". An interior ministry spokeswoman confirmed the government was looking at including a "stop and question" power in the new legislation. "We are considering a range of powers for the bill and 'stop and question' is one of them," she said. The "stop and question" power would enable police to interrogate people about who they are, where they have been and where they were going, The Sunday Times said. Police would not need to suspect a crime had taken place. If suspects failed to stop or refused to answer questions, they could be charged with a crime and fined, The Sunday Times said. Police already have the power to stop and search people but have no right to ask them their identity and movements. The Sunday Times said the powers already existed in Northern Ireland. Civil rights groups viewed the plan to extend them to the rest of Britain as an attack on civil liberties, it said. Such powers had only existed before in other parts of Britain in war time, it said. Interior minister John Reid is proposing other measures to combat Islamist militants, the report said. These would give police the power to take documents away for examination even if their value as evidence was not immediately obvious and the power to remove vehicles to examine them. Blair's government passed tough anti-terrorism measures after the September 2001 attacks on U.S. cities and again after four British Muslim suicide bombers killed 52 people on London's transport network in July 2005. However, some of Blair's proposed measures -- such as a plan to hold terrorism suspects for up to 90 days without charge -- have been blocked by parliament or the courts. Britain's anti-terrorism strategy has faced criticism in the last few days after the disclosure that three men suspected of planning attacks on British or U.S. troops abroad had absconded. Authorities had attempted to keep tabs on the three men through "control orders". In his article, Blair said it was not the government's fault the three had absconded. Instead, he blamed parliament and the courts for quashing the tougher measures he had wanted. "We have chosen as a society to put the civil liberties of the suspect, even if a foreign national, first. I happen to believe this is misguided and wrong," he wrote. Britons had decided that, except in very limited ways, the threat to public safety from extremism did not justify radical changes to the law, he said. "Their right to traditional civil liberties comes first. I believe this is a dangerous misjudgment," he added."
